The scope of delivery includes 2 pairs of IP68 photovoltaic cable connectors for cables Ø 4.0 - 6.0 mm² (2x male + 2x female), as well as 2 solar protective sleeves.

For sealing solar connectors 4-10 mm²

Prevents solar connectors from wearing out and thus preserves their performance over a longer period of time, thus avoiding costly maintenance work and increasing safety.
The Solar Cover is resistant to UV radiation, corrosion and immersion in water.

Problems / risks of using solar connectors WITHOUT the Solar Cover:
The connectors for photovoltaic modules are usually installed on roofs or directly under the metal cover of the modules; this means that they are exposed to weather conditions as well as to high temperatures of solar radiation, which are further increased by the heating of the current circulation generated by the module.
This can lead to various dangerous effects over time:
- The formation of cracks and breakage of the connector
- Hardening and deterioration of the seals contained in the connector, which means that the specified degree of protection cannot be guaranteed
Moisture, water, dust, etc. can penetrate the connector and damage the metal pins. This can cause serious problems:
- A short circuit may occur due to oxidation of the contacts
- Increased contact resistance within the connector, leading to overheating
- Corrosion of the metal component and a resulting reduction in the cross-section
